Integrity is a character-driven commitment to honesty, doing what is right, and guiding others to do what is right. Academic integrity is expected of all Universal Learner Courses (ULC) learners in all ULC coursework and exams. The possible sanctions for violations of academic integrity include, but are not limited to, appropriate grade penalties, course failure, loss of registration privileges, removal from courses and the platform, ineligibility to participate in future ULC activities, ineligibility to opt for ASU credit for respective ULC courses taken on the open platform, and ineligibility for regular admission to ASU.
Violations of academic integrity fall into five broad areas that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Cheating on an academic evaluation or assignment
- Plagiarizing
- Academic deceit, such as fabricating data or information
- Aiding academic integrity policy violations and inappropriately collaborating, including posting answers to ULC quiz or examinations in ULC forums
- Falsifying academic records
Universal Learner Courses (ULC) learners include:
- Earned Admission student
- Pathway to Admission student
- High School partners
- All other individuals taking courses on the ULC platform
