Blackboard Known Issues

Known Issue articles explain a problem, or issue, and provide a workaround, if available.

Current known issues that may effect your Blackboard classes:

• Adobe Presenter: lectures created in older versions of Adobe Presenter (7 or 8) are not loading or playing audio. You may need to clear your internet browser history and refresh the browser several times to view the lecture.
• Audio will not play when I use the Blackboard Voice tool. Voice tools are not supported in Chrome or Internet Explorer, use Firefox or Safari for Voice tools.

• Chrome browser no longer supports Silverlight, Java and Unity plugins. This means Blackboard Voice tools (board, collaborate, thread) and some video files (Quicktime, Windows Media) will only work in Firefox or Safari.

• HTML code shows when using a Hot Spot question in a Blackboard test?

• Paste text: why can't I paste into a Blackboard text box?

• Safe Assignment: I'm getting an error when I attempt to access a Safe Assignment?

• Test error: I am receiving an error when I try to access a test in Blackboard

• Test answer in the wrong place: My answer for a Hot Spot question displayed in the wrong spot?

• YouTube Mashup video embed: videos do not display after using the Mashup tool. Provide the YouTube video link in your courses until the mashup tool is repaired.
