Late Fees
You must pay all your charges by their due dates. If you are late on a payment, you will be charged a late fee 30 days after the due date, and you will continue to be charged a late fee each month until your charges and late fees are paid in full..  Late fees are assessed as follows:

Suspension of University Services
ASU policy prohibits anyone with delinquent obligations from registering for classes, receiving refunds, obtaining transcripts and diplomas, and use of campus services. If your statement shows past due charges, you can avoid delays in registering for the next semester by immediately making payment.

Collection Agencies
Delinquent accounts will be referred to outside collection agencies and will be reported to national credit bureaus. Should it become necessary for ASU to retain an attorney or collection agency to secure payment of any amount due, the debtor is responsible for paying all attorney's fees, court costs, and collection agency charges. Late fees may continue to accrue monthly or be assessed as a flat fee when accounts are transferred between agencies until the balance is paid in full.

Collections Office
The Collections Office is responsible for the management of accounts that are in a past due status and also oversees the repayment of Federal Perkins Loans originated at Arizona State University, which is handled in conjunction with Educational Computer Systems, Inc. (ECSI), the lending service that assists ASU in processing Perkins loan payments. Visit students.asu.edu/student-loans/types for helpful information regarding student loans or the Federal Perkins Loans in Repayment section of our website. This program has been discontinued and Perkins Loans are no longer available.

Please contact the Collections Office for additional information about your past due account or any Federal Perkins Loans in repayment.
