Information
Attending orientation is either strongly recommended or required, depending on the student:
  • If you are a first-time freshman, it is strongly recommended that you attend an ASU New Student Orientation program. If you are unable to attend an orientation program, you should contact your academic college and advisor directly to register for classes.
  • If you are a transfer student, it is strongly recommended that you complete the online transfer orientation module before contacting your academic college and advisor to register for classes.
  • If you are an international student, you are required to attend the International Orientation program. If you are unable to attend, you must notify the New Student and Family Programs office by emailing orientation@asu.edu. A staff member will contact you regarding alternative program options. Additionally, ASU recommends that freshman international students should also attend a New Student Orientation program to meet with an academic college advisor and register for classes.
If you have additional questions, please contact the New Student and Family Programs office at 480-965-2880 or by email at orientation@asu.edu
