In the Phoenix Metro area, Cox or CenturyLink both provide high-speed Internet access. Call Cox or CenturyLink to learn about their services and pricing, and select one of them as your new service provider. If you already have other services through these companies, you may be able to get a package deal.

Here are a few things to know ahead of time: Cox works through a cable line in your home, which connects to an external cable modem that is then hooked up to your computer. If you have a laptop and want to connect wirelessly, you can use a cable modem/wireless router combo box. This allows you to connect to the Internet from anywhere in your home without using a physical cable to connect your laptop to the cable modem. CenturyLink works through your existing telephone line but requires a separate modem box.
