How can I change my exposure management settings?

Information

There are two settings for exposure management that can be changed: Location sharing and COVID related health record sharing.

You will not be required to share your location or COVID-19 test results with the app. However, the more people that opt in, the healthier we can keep our community.  Opting in will also help us to notify you if you were in close contact, for a sustained period, with someone who is later diagnosed with COVID-19.  So, while sharing is not required, it is strongly recommended.

To change your exposure management settings follow the steps below.

Location Sharing

Sharing your location for exposure management on the ASU Mobile App can help ASU determine if you have crossed paths (only while on-campus) with someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19.

On the App

The first time you open the app, you will be presented with a series of cards that prompt you to share your location and complete your first health check. If you wish to change this setting at a later time, follow these steps.

  1. Open the ASU app and log in if prompted.

  2. Click the menu button at the top left of the screen.

If your location sharing is on, you can be discreetly notified if you are ever exposed to COVID-19 on campus.

Share your COVID-19 test results with ASU.

If you test positive for COVID-19, your healthcare provider can contact ASU so we can follow-up with you and send an alert to those you may have been in contact with.
