How Can I Tell If ASU Received My FAFSA Correction?

Information
If you listed ASU's Federal School Code (001081) on your FAFSA correction, the U.S. Department of Education will send your FAFSA correction to ASU in three to five business days

As a result of your FAFSA correction, new requested documents could appear on your My ASU under the Finances tab in the Financing Tasks box. Please understand, not all corrections can be considered per federal regulations. Contact a financial aid counselor to see if your correction can be considered.

Tips:
  • If your FAFSA correction is due to using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool, a financial aid counselor will confirm successful usage of the DRT before your awards can be re-evaluated.
  • If your FAFSA correction is due to fixing a mistake, documentation may be requested to support the change. Check My ASU for newly requested documents.
  • If your FAFSA correction is due to a recent event (i.e., job loss, divorce, loss of child support), do not make a correction to your FAFSA online. You must document the recent event by completing a Student Income Reduction Review or Parent Review form.
