Information
A loan exit counseling review is requested if you have borrowed a subsidized or unsubsidized loan at ASU and have reached the following credit hour limits:
  • 108 credit hours for undergraduate students
  • 36 credit hours for graduate students
  • 74 credit hours for law students
Once you have reached the credit hour limit described, you are asked to complete exit counseling each semester until graduation or termination of attendance. This is not a requirement to receive your loans, however loan exit counseling provides important information on your student loan repayment obligations and options. Explanations of repayment programs, a repayment calculator and several other valuable resources are part of the counseling. This information is essential when determining your borrowing options.
