The Office of National Scholarship Advising helps students from ASU prepare to compete for national and international awards of merit.

The scholarships and fellowships advised by ONSA are different than most of the merit scholarships that are offered to students in support of undergraduate education. Many scholarships require that applicants receive the endorsement or nomination of the university before applying. If an institutional endorsement is required, then the scholarship applicant will follow a set of campus application procedures before submitting final application to the funding agency. Some scholarships permit only a limited number of applicants from each university, and in many cases request formal letters which nominate those applicants as representatives of the school.
  • Current ASU students and recent graduates may use the searchable ONSA database to browse available scholarships, fellowships and grants. Students who are interested in receiving regular information on upcoming competitions, deadlines and workshops can subscribe to the ONSA Weekly Bulletin email list.
  • ONSA serves all ASU students, both undergraduate and graduate or professional, from all five campuses. ONSA is located at the Tempe campus Barrett, The Honors College, on the second floor of Honors Hall, room 225.

To schedule a fellowships advising appointment, use our online scheduling and advising platform or call 480-727-8204. General inquiries may be sent to onsa@asu.edu.
